My daughter had her wedding here and it was just fabulous. The brides & bridesmaids were able to get ready in their own separate room, with toilet facilities, on the day.I do however think they are a little understaffed and at times it was difficult to find someone to help with things, although whenever we did find any staff member they were immediately willing to help with anything we needed/wanted. Just could have been extra helpful to have more staff throughout the day during preparation prior to the actual wedding.Note: the staff do NOT touch the wedding cake at all, until it is to be cut up for serving ... so u have to bring it on the day and put it in the fridge downstairs yourself, then you have to get it out of the fridge and set it up yourself on the day at a time that is most suitable (so I set it up while the bride & groom were having photos after the ceremony, but before everyone was allowed into the room for dining, so as not to have it sitting out for too long!) But just be aware they do not do this.Some of us spent the night in their accommodation facilities, which were lovely and clean and respectable. The usual tea, coffee etc was provided also.The next morning was easy and hassle free to check out.

Highly Recommend Tatra receptions as your wedding venue Management and staff were amazing and professional and catered to our needs and made our wedding planing and day a memorable one the food was delicious and all my guests were satisfied and impressed at the service.The venue was just breath taking for photos and we were able to have the ceremony and reception at Tatra which made it a lot easier for guests.

Got married at Tatra in October 2025. It was honestly the most beautiful day. We stayed there the day before and day after so it was relaxed to get ready morning of. The gardens are so beautiful and our photos are stunning. Staff were great and always followed up in the lead up to wedding when I emailed questions. It was an easy decision to choose Tatra to host our special day.

My son got married a few days ago at Tatra Receptions. The wedding ceremony took place at the chapel on-site, followed by a wonderful reception at the same venue.Set in the beautiful Dandenong Ranges, the venue is surrounded by stunning natural scenery and offers countless opportunities for amazing wedding photos. The food was delicious, and the portions were very generous. All of our guests thoroughly enjoyed the ceremony, the reception, and the overall experience.A special thank you to Andrew, the owner, who was an absolute pleasure to deal with. He genuinely understands his clients’ needs and goes out of his way to accommodate them. We are extremely happy with the service and would highly recommend this beautiful venue to anyone.

We had my son's wedding at Tatra Receptions. It was just magical. The location, the venue and the gardens were just beautiful. There was a great choice of food and beverage options, including theming. The accommodation was also wonderful as we were able to stay the night and catch up with the newlyweds and family in the morning. An allround beautiful venue.

Beyond our wildest dreams!From meeting Andrew and his wonderful team, we knew this was going to be a great experience—and it was.The contact before, lead up, and on the day of the wedding was great.The team were able to answer and help us with everything.The venue speaks for itself; just by looking at the stunning gardens, we had endless locations to take photos.Space for our guests to go during the cocktail and space inside for the reception.The food is next-level - if you ever need food tasters, we are there!I am a coeliac and they were able to accommodate me with delicious and filling food.Thank you for making our day one to remember. We can't wait to come back for any of our guests who want to get married or renew their vows!

Everything was perfect! Perfect view outside with the cupola and the tall trees in the back. The staff were all super lovely and made things run a lot smoother. The rooms are perfect as well if you have a big family and need the extra space or just want the bridal parties seperate. Food was really good! Bartenders and wait staff were super sweet and aware of everything we needed. Really appreciate everything! Also perfect spot outside to put a bouncy castle (highly suggest it was a lot of fun!)The only thing I would suggest is to get another coordinator for ceremonies, as my dad was directing people for ours, we had one person helping us, and a trainee :( just more hands to help earlier on 😊

Tatra Receptions was the perfect venue for our wedding! The Dandenong Ranges backdrop is absolutely magical — from the beautiful gardens to the stunning ballroom, every spot felt like a dream. Overall, the bride, groom and family would be happy with the event. Nitpicking 1) the one hour of cocktails got people excited but they were underwhelming 2) the main vegetarian option, eggplant schnitzel was tough.

Beautiful Wedding & Reception place hidden away in the beautiful Dandenong Ranges. The Chapel is perfect for an intimate ceremony with family & close friends. There are 2 carpark areas one being closer to the Chapel which was perfect for me as I am disabled. The reception area was also beautiful, great staff.

The moment we had our initial meeting with Tatra, we felt like welcomed, with all questions answered with no trouble. The staff were incredibly attentive and responsive, ensuring every detail was taken care of. The location is absolutely ideal, offering everything you could possibly need in one place.The food? Simply amazing! Every guest was impressed by the generous portions and incredible taste—there wasn’t a single complaint.Accommodation onsite was amazing with large clean rooms.We would wholeheartedly recommend Tatra for any celebration. The beautiful gardens provide a stunning backdrop that adds a touch of magic to any event.

Attended a Wedding here over the weekend. The yards at this venue were absolutely breathtaking.The only reason behind the 4 star review was the meals. The food was dry, tasteless and barelywarm. With the cost of weddings these days the food should also be high end. This was far from that.

Tatra Receptions is such a beautiful place and I'm so happy we had our wedding here. The preparation for our special day went by flawlessly. Tatra were very responsive and answered my multiple phone calls about every question I asked. The visits, the sampling dinner and all the pre-wedding events were wonderful.It rained on our wedding day so we were very grateful for a wet-weather option on site. Although we booked Tatra for a garden wedding, to have the back up option that still looked beautiful was a big relief for us.The food is fantastic, we had heaps of compliments on all meals and our favourite has to be the sticky date! The drinks package was great, plenty of opportunities for photos around the venue and everything ran to time.Two aspects didn't go to plan:The night before my Sunday wedding, most of the accommodation was booked by my or my husbands family as many of us had travelled >2 hours or interstate. There was another wedding on the Saturday night. They had loud music but I thought they must of paid for an extended package to perhaps midnight to keep going. However, the music kept getting louder and louder til 2am in the morning! Turns out over 50 heavily intoxicated guests partied on loudly in the car park which is immediately infront of the accommodation and had large speakers (placed right next to the window of my aunties room), open alcohol, tables set up, and they were extremely rowdy and disturbing and wouldn't move off the grounds. Some of the guests were scared due to the drunkenness of some of the guests. There was no after hours number to contact Tatra, so my own family had to argue with the crowd at 1am to leave and police were called. As a result, no one got more than 5 hours sleep. Were we compensated at all? No. The venue apologised but that wasn't good enough. Absolutely appalling and if I knew they'd allow this sort of behaviour, I would of never recommended people to stay on site and insisted on an airbnb. Accommodation should of atleast been partially refunded because no one got a restful night sleep due to the selfishness of the Saturday guests and the venue. Perhaps security on site if guests are staying overnight might be an idea? Atleast to prevent anyone else experiencing this like me and my family did.The other issue I had was the MC. We didn't know who it was as it changes from day to day. It was a young woman. Which would of been fine, but she was so quiet no one could hear the announcements! My husband had to grab the mic or just yell and repeat what she said multiple times so guests knew what was going on. When we asked her to speak louder she refused and said she couldn't?? She had a microphone yet myself and my husbands voices were louder? In addition, there was no hype, no excitement in her voice, she just spoke as if she was reading off a list. Very disappointing! If I knew this, I would of outsourced a more lively MC ourselves.These were the only two faults of the venue, so from my personal experience, I'd recommend staying off site if you value rest, and outsource a loud speaking MC with some energy and excitement if that's what you want. But for a venue with wonderful food, gorgeous gardens, options for wet weather, stunning ball room, helpful admin staff, and to take the stress out of coordinating your wedding because they run it like a well oiled machine, Tatra was fantastic. 🙂Edit: since posting this review I have been contacted by the venue. They have apologised for the shortcomings on the night saying they have spoken to the MC we had and given feedback. In regards to the night prior, they sincerely apologised and have let me know all the changes they have made to ensure this never happens again to any future couples as it was the first time it had happened in 20 years.For any future couples, your wedding never goes perfectly, this was 2 out of about 10 things that didn't go to plan on my day. But atleast when you book with Tatra, the team will go over and above to make it right and I think that's alot more care and effort than most!

If I could give Tatra more stars, I would!We were married here a week ago and couldn't be happier with the incredible venue and amazing staff.I had a million questions and requests in the lead up to our day - all were answered so promptly and the team were so helpful. Attended wedding reception here. Was in the evening so couldn't really appreciate the grounds. The venue was lovely and service was good. We are vegetarians and were not disappointed with the menu, including dessert. The happy couple had a fabulous time.Well done

Apologies for the long awaited review, I thought I posted the review last year and realised now it never sent.My husband and I just celebrated our 1 year wedding anniversary and we couldn't be more happier with the wonderful reception we have chosen. Two years prior to my husband proposing, I did my own research and knew Tatra was where I wanted to get married, and when we finally did a tour, my husband couldn't agree more. The venue is utterly beautiful and the food was great. The staff were amazing answering all of our questions (special thanks to Dearna and Emily) and our MC was fantastic (I'm so sorry I can't remember you're name, but you were utterly spectacular!). Thank you for taking care of us, hosting our day and accommodating to our cultural traditions. Our guests still talk about how it was the most amazing and beautiful wedding they've gone too. Changing the quote from Bride Wars, all I keep thinking when I see other venues is - 'It ain't October, and it ain't Tatra!". Beautiful venue, perfect for a fairytale, enchanting wedding. Thank you again for everything!

Amazing venue with awesome leadership team in Andrew and Chloe. We had our wedding at Tatra last week and everything about it was absolutely amazing and perfect. The venue was incredible. The staff were so helpful, lovely and very easy going. No matter what questions I had, they were very obliging and also very prompt with their responses, even during peak times. They also guided me throughout the entire process but also very calmly and patiently. Also very reasonably priced !! The on site bridal room was perfect for getting ready in.The food was amazing and the on site accomodation was super convenient !All of our guests also loved the venue.I could not recommend Tatra receptions more highly :)

Pure Timeless Elegance & Beauty!We were married at Tatra Receptions and it was absolute PERFECTION! 🤍✨Nothing was too much trouble, Andrew, Dearna and the team at Tatra truly made us feel like family, like anything was possible for our special day. The care they took to make sure every detail was taken care of was incredible. They even helped us to create the perfect timeline to ensure our guests had a seamless enjoyable experience but we also had time to connect with each other privately too.We are truly grateful to Tatra Receptions for making all of our dreams come true. Their gardens are something truly special unmatched by anything else in Victoria. It was the perfect location for all of our needs; to have the ceremony on site (with various options available), a gorgeously decorated grande ballroom (the pure essence of elegance) and not to mention accommodation on site for all of our guests.We truly give many thanks, from the bottom of our hearts, to Dearna, Andrew and Shelby. Most especially for all of their hard work on our behalf. We had many guests complementing the service they received, the beautiful grounds, the delicious and abundant food and appreciation of how well maintained not only the gardens were but the Event Place as a whole.Their hospitality was warm and we had so many options to choose from, you can really personalise your day the way you would like to here, it was truly a dream come true. We were able to hire a live pianist for cocktail hour, a violinist for the ceremony and in the gardens AND have a band in the reception, decorate how we wished to, make use of all the grounds privately for the WHOLE duration of our two days (including all unlimited use of the gardens, garden bar, chapel, grande ballroom, pre reception lounge and other outdoor spaces). There is also a gorgeous day room/bridal retreat large enough to fully spread out all your wedding day supplies and for you to get ready there if you wish to, I did not but it was a lovely place to get some silence for a moment in between all the busy-ness of the day.In conclusion, Tatra Receptions is a marvellous choice for Brides and Grooms desiring the WHOLE experience from start to finish for themselves and their guests. It is pure timeless elegance and fairytale magic. I would highly recommend a tour if you are considering a wedding in the Dandenong Ranges/Yarra Valley area.With much love,N & L

Tatra was the most amazing venue for our wedding just gone. From the moment we booked up until the day after our wedding it was everything we could’ve dreamed of, the atmosphere, the scenery, the food, the staff absolutely everything was perfect. Everyone was commenting on how amazing the entire day and night was 🥰The entire lead up Dearna in the office was incredible with the back and fourth emails, questions, answers and updates and on the day our coordinator Shelby was amazing we didn’t need to worry about a single thing. We knew everyone had it all under control and it was the best feeling 😊Would highly recommend Tatra any day, not only was the whole process extremely easy and fun their communication was great as well 😊

I got married here on the 11.11.23. From the moment we saw this venue, I knew this was the one. Other venues paled in comparison.We really wanted everything in one place, as some guests were travelling from interstate. We wanted accomodation close by, and to have both the ceremony and reception in one place, so our older guests didn't have to worry about going from one place to the next, and that's exactly what we got.Accomodation on site, rehearsal run through, bridal suite open early morning, platters and coffees, photobooth and neon sign all organised by the venue. Also, there's no need to go off site for photos. Tatra Receptions grounds are a dream.Our wedding wasn't just a one day thing, we celebrated over 3 days! The night before family and bridal party stayed at Tatras Accomodation, we had dinner out boys at one location and girls at another, then our big day the next day, and after we checked out - all guests that came stayed at Tatras Accommodation and a few others who wanted to keep celebrating came and had brunch with us, before all departing. It was perfect!We got signage stands supplied for our welcome sign and seating chart, complimentary food tasting, complimentary white seasoned flowers on each guest table and in the centre of the bridal table. This is a nice cost cut for the bride and groom. Also a complimentary wedding night stay in their honeymoon suite.Andrew, Debbie and the team were all so wonderful to deal with. It's a bonus that the reception is also beautiful. It's the prettiest venue in all of the Dandenong Ranges and trust me, we saw them all haha.I am so happy we got the venue we wanted and so happy with how our day turned out. Super impressed with our experience at Tatra. First of all, the owner and management are super flexible with lots of things, for example, scheduling times for our rehearsal outside those they usually offer, allowing us to come in for an additional food tasting for a dish we hadn't tried etc. We mostly spoke to Dearna throughout the planning process who was always super responsive and very helpful! The team set up my items on the day exactly as I had asked also. On the night, all of the staff members were wonderful and really lovely. Our on the day co-ordinator (whose name I unfortunately cannot recall - the day was such a blur!) was so wonderful. She kept me calm when I arrived to the venue later when expected, took it upon herself to problem solve the little things that weren't going quite to plan on the day, ensured we were kept in the loop all evening, tried to feed and water us as much as possible and so many other things that I probably didn't even notice! Honestly I don't think I could fault the venue at all on the day. Thanks so much!

We had our wedding at Tatra on 27.10.23 and it was the most perfect place to get married. The venue itself is stunning. The gardens are beautiful and make for incredible photos. The ballroom is such a great space for the reception. Food is absolutely incredible and all of our guests raved about it. The team at Tatra were wonderful all throughout the entire wedding planning process, special shoutout to Dearna who was incredible. Nothing was too much trouble, everyone responded to any queries quickly and with great customer service. We are so grateful to the Team at Tatra and couldn’t recommend them more.

Everything was perfect! Perfect view outside with the cupola and the tall trees in the back. The staff were all super lovely and made things run a lot smoother. The rooms are perfect as well if you have a big family and need the extra space or just want the bridal parties seperate. Food was really good! Bartenders and... wait staff were super sweet and aware of everything we needed. Really appreciate everything! Also perfect spot outside to put a bouncy castle (highly suggest it was a lot of fun!)The only thing I would suggest is to get another coordinator for ceremonies, as my dad was directing people for ours, we had one person helping us, and a trainee :( just more hands to help earlier on 😊read more

Beautiful Wedding & Reception place hidden away in the beautiful Dandenong Ranges. The Chapel is perfect for an intimate ceremony with family & close friends. Tatra Receptions is such a beautiful place and I'm so happy we had our wedding here. The preparation for our special day went by flawlessly. Tatra were very responsive and answered my multiple phone calls about every question I asked. The visits, the sampling dinner and all the pre-wedding events were wonderful.It... rained on our wedding day so we were very grateful for a wet-weather option on site. Although we booked Tatra for a garden wedding, to have the back up option that still looked beautiful was a big relief for us.The food is fantastic, we had heaps of compliments on all meals and our favourite has to be the sticky date! The drinks package was great, plenty of opportunities for photos around the venue and everything ran to time.Two aspects didn't go to plan:The night before my Sunday wedding, most of the accommodation was booked by my or my husbands family as many of us had travelled >2 hours or interstate. There was another wedding on the Saturday night. They had loud music but I thought they must of paid for an extended package to perhaps midnight to keep going. However, the music kept getting louder and louder til 2am in the morning! Turns out over 50 heavily intoxicated guests partied on loudly in the car park which is immediately infront of the accommodation and had large speakers (placed right next to the window of my aunties room), open alcohol, tables set up, and they were extremely rowdy and disturbing and wouldn't move off the grounds. Some of the guests were scared due to the drunkenness of some of the guests. There was no after hours number to contact Tatra, so my own family had to argue with the crowd at 1am to leave and police were called. As a result, no one got more than 5 hours sleep. Were we compensated at all? No. The venue apologised but that wasn't good enough. Absolutely appalling and if I knew they'd allow this sort of behaviour, I would of never recommended people to stay on site and insisted on an airbnb. Accommodation should of atleast been partially refunded because no one got a restful night sleep due to the selfishness of the Saturday guests and the venue. Perhaps security on site if guests are staying overnight might be an idea? Atleast to prevent anyone else experiencing this like me and my family did.The other issue I had was the MC. We didn't know who it was as it changes from day to day. It was a young woman. Which would of been fine, but she was so quiet no one could hear the announcements! My husband had to grab the mic or just yell and repeat what she said multiple times so guests knew what was going on. When we asked her to speak louder she refused and said she couldn't?? She had a microphone yet myself and my husbands voices were louder? In addition, there was no hype, no excitement in her voice, she just spoke as if she was reading off a list. Very disappointing! If I knew this, I would of outsourced a more lively MC ourselves.These were the only two faults of the venue, so from my personal experience, I'd recommend staying off site if you value rest, and outsource a loud speaking MC with some energy and excitement if that's what you want. But for a venue with wonderful food, gorgeous gardens, options for wet weather, stunning ball room, helpful admin staff, and to take the stress out of coordinating your wedding because they run it like a well oiled machine, Tatra was fantastic. 🙂Edit: since posting this review I have been contacted by the venue. They have apologised for the shortcomings on the night saying they have spoken to the MC we had and given feedback. In regards to the night prior, they sincerely apologised and have let me know all the changes they have made to ensure this never happens again to any future couples as it was the first time it had happened in 20 years.For any future couples, your wedding never goes perfectly, this was 2 out of about 10 things that didn't go to plan on my day. But atleast when you book with Tatra, the team will go over and above to make it right and I think that's alot more care and effort than most!read more

Apologies for the long awaited review, I thought I posted the review last year and realised now it never sent.My husband and I just celebrated our 1 year wedding anniversary and we couldn't be more happier with the wonderful reception we have chosen. Two years prior to my husband proposing, I did my own research and... knew Tatra was where I wanted to get married, and when we finally did a tour, my husband couldn't agree more. The venue is utterly beautiful and the food was great. The staff were amazing answering all of our questions (special thanks to Dearna and Emily) and our MC was fantastic (I'm so sorry I can't remember you're name, but you were utterly spectacular!). Thank you for taking care of us, hosting our day and accommodating to our cultural traditions. Our guests still talk about how it was the most amazing and beautiful wedding they've gone too. Changing the quote from Bride Wars, all I keep thinking when I see other venues is - 'It ain't October, and it ain't Tatra!". Beautiful venue, perfect for a fairytale, enchanting wedding. They even helped us to create the perfect timeline to ensure our guests had a seamless enjoyable experience but we also had time to connect with each other privately too.We are truly grateful to Tatra Receptions for making all of our dreams come true. Their gardens are something truly special unmatched by anything else in Victoria. It was the perfect location for all of our needs; to have the ceremony on site (with various options available), a gorgeously decorated grande ballroom (the pure essence of elegance) and not to mention accommodation on site for all of our guests.We truly give many thanks, from the bottom of our hearts, to Dearna, Andrew and Shelby. Most especially for all of their hard work on our behalf. We had many guests complementing the service they received, the beautiful grounds, the delicious and abundant food and appreciation of how well maintained not only the gardens were but the Event Place as a whole.Their hospitality was warm and we had so many options to choose from, you can really personalise your day the way you would like to here, it was truly a dream come true. We were able to hire a live pianist for cocktail hour, a violinist for the ceremony and in the gardens AND have a band in the reception, decorate how we wished to, make use of all the grounds privately for the WHOLE duration of our two days (including all unlimited use of the gardens, garden bar, chapel, grande ballroom, pre reception lounge and other outdoor spaces). There is also a gorgeous day room/bridal retreat large enough to fully spread out all your wedding day supplies and for you to get ready there if you wish to, I did not but it was a lovely place to get some silence for a moment in between all the busy-ness of the day.In conclusion, Tatra Receptions is a marvellous choice for Brides and Grooms desiring the WHOLE experience from start to finish for themselves and their guests. I got married here on the 11.11.23. From the moment we saw this venue, I knew this was the one. Other venues paled in comparison.We really wanted everything in one place, as some guests were travelling from interstate. We wanted accomodation close by, and to have both the ceremony and reception in one place, so our... older guests didn't have to worry about going from one place to the next, and that's exactly what we got.Accomodation on site, rehearsal run through, bridal suite open early morning, platters and coffees, photobooth and neon sign all organised by the venue. Also, there's no need to go off site for photos. Tatra Receptions grounds are a dream.Our wedding wasn't just a one day thing, we celebrated over 3 days! The night before family and bridal party stayed at Tatras Accomodation, we had dinner out boys at one location and girls at another, then our big day the next day, and after we checked out - all guests that came stayed at Tatras Accommodation and a few others who wanted to keep celebrating came and had brunch with us, before all departing. It was perfect!We got signage stands supplied for our welcome sign and seating chart, complimentary food tasting, complimentary white seasoned flowers on each guest table and in the centre of the bridal table. This is a nice cost cut for the bride and groom. Also a complimentary wedding night stay in their honeymoon suite.Andrew, Debbie and the team were all so wonderful to deal with.
