Me and my husband got married at Tatra a couple of weeks ago and it was just the perfect venue for us to have our special day. We visited a few times in the lead up to the wedding and every time I visited I was just blown away again and again at how beautiful the place is. We had a 100 person wedding and the sizing was just perfect. Everyone had a seat at the ceremony but it never felt too empty. The gardens are sprawling and full of lovely spaces to take photos.The staff were also just wonderful to work with the whole way through. They were responsive, answered all of my many questions quickly and were very patient in the lead up to the wedding. it is clear they have hosted many weddings before because of just how smoothly everything ran. We had a really wonderful experience and are very happy we chose Tatra!

Attended two weddings here in the span of 3 weeks. The first was a lovely Spring day so ceremony was in the garden, the second was a little rainy so the ceremony was held in the chapel. Lovely contrast, differing level of intimacy. Suffice to say irrespective of what Melbourne weather threw our way, the venue has different spaces that can certainly pivot between to ensure a memorable ceremony. Staff were attentive, car parking pretty good. Lots of lovely spots around the property for photos. The walk between car park and venue, once sun sets, was dark so turn on your mobile light.

As a Melbourne wedding photographer, I’ve had the opportunity to photograph many weddings at Tatra, and it’s always a beautiful place to work.What I especially love about Tatra is how well the reception connects with the surrounding Dandenong Ranges. Couples can enjoy the beautiful natural setting during the day and then have a relaxed and atmospheric celebration in the evening.For wedding photographers, there are so many opportunities to capture genuine moments here — from speeches and dinner to dancing, celebrations and all the little interactions between family and friends.A beautiful venue for couples looking for a wedding with both nature and a timeless reception atmosphere.

Got married at Tatra on 15/9/26 and I could not be more grateful to the Tatra team for making our dreams come true !!Dearna is a legend and answered every single email and question and tiny little edit I wanted to make. She gave advice when I was unsure and was even more lovely in person. Tash was our superstar coordinator on the day she just made everything so easy!The venue itself is so BEAUTIFUL. Plan A was to get married outside but that was my husband’s plan so when it rained all day I was very happy to get married on the chapel 😂 The chapel is just so stunning and every time I pictured getting married, it was in that chapel ❤️ Thankfully, the rain let up for our portraits and you can take a photo just about anywhere on Tatra’s grounds (the amphitheater is MAJOR 😍). And the draping in the ballroom is absolutely the cherry on top. Just gorgeous!!!When the adrenaline finally wore off and we could finally eat, Tatra’s food was SO GOOD! I think about the steak and the sticky date pudding a lot… Our guests agreed and enjoyed it too! The staff really took care of us and were so kind.I could not recommend Tatra enough if you are seeking a charming, elegant, whimsical venue for your wedding/event! Big thanks to the Tatra team again!

We had our wedding at Tatra Receptions 2 weeks ago. The team at Tatra was amazing and the service was exceptional. Dearna was always prompt with her replies in the lead up to our wedding. The venue was absolutely stunning and we could not have imagined a more beautiful location for the day.The staff were all so professional and approachable. The onsite accommodation was also lovely and very convenient. In addition to this, the food was delicious and we have received so many compliments from our guests about the location and how helpful the staff were at Tatra! We would highly recommend this venue!

What can I say that people haven’t already said about Tatra?? They are amazing!! Honestly my now husband and I will talk about this amazing venue for years to come! Dearna honestly was a god send when it came to all of my questions even ones I probably should have known the answers to!! And Andrew was so kind and accommodating to my family!! The Tatra team were kind and supportive when it came to getting ready and asked how they could help at every turn! I couldn’t have found a better venue if I tried!! Honestly will be singing their praises to anyone who’ll listen!!Thank you Tatra for helping me make my wedding day feel like a fairytale dream 🥰🥰

Recently had my wedding at Tatra! Everything was absolutely perfect! The staff are very dedicated throughout the entire lead up to the wedding and on the day. The food was amazing (large portions, full of flavour). Our guests couldn't believe how much there was!There are also so many gorgeous photo opportunities both inside and outside the venue.

We had our wedding & reception here in May and we couldn’t be happier! An ad for Tatra randomly came up on our social media so we decided to visit, and once we were there we knew this was the place to hold our special day! The venue is absolutely stunning and makes for some beautiful bridal photos.Dearna was fantastic & never hesitated to help us with any questions we sent her way.Having accomodation on site allowed us to have our bridal party stay with us the night before, making it special.The food (& wine !) was great at the reception even our guests commented how tasty the food was. The team on the day was great & very helpful!

The most incredible experience… from the first moment where we visited and were shown around by the owner Andrew, we knew that this was the venue for our wedding.The venue is fantastic, well laid out with indoor/outdoor options. We were lucky to get a fairytale bridal entrance down a spiral staircase into the most amazing chapel (check out the photos with the window backdrop and the nighttime shot looking back in) and a reception area that was perfect for our guests.The food was great and in the lead up to our day we were able to visit and taste some of the options so when we made our menu selections, we were confident in the quality of both food and wine.Last but not least, the staff were the thing that actually made our event run so smoothly. Dearna and the office crew ensured we had a clear schedule for the day and that everything was managed on our behalf on the big day itself.Favorite memory was the two of us sneaking into the office after photos and before our big entrance while canapés were being served… Dearna sorted us out with a bottle of wine and 30 minutes to ourselves before the big celebration. Exactly what we needed.If we could rate them more than 5 stars we would. The value provided for such a big occasion was priceless. You only get one chance at this and wouldn’t entrust it to anyone else.

We recently celebrated our wedding at Tatra and it was an absolutely outstanding experience from start to finish. We held our ceremony at the Cupola, and our guests were blown away by how beautiful it was, the timing was perfect, with stunning reds and yellows coming through the leaves that added such a magical atmosphere to the day.The food was exceptional; having attended a tasting beforehand, I sampled a number of their dishes including the chicken skewers and the lamb shank, and every single one hit the mark. The quality and flavour across the board was impressive, and our guests on the day couldn’t stop raving about it either.The team on the day were brilliant. As with any wedding, there are always little things that crop up behind the scenes, but the staff handled everything so efficiently that my bride and I were completely unaware anything had even happened. That kind of quiet professionalism is rare and was truly invaluable on our big day.If you’re looking for a wedding venue that delivers on stunning surroundings, incredible food, and seamless coordination, Tatra is the full package. We couldn’t recommend it more highly!

Had our wedding on February 2026, it's a very beautiful venue that offers good food, good views and good service. A lot of our guests complimented the food and the aesthetics. We had our wedding outdoor by the cupola and it was absolutely gorgeous. We were also able to get our photoshoot done there as well as there were different sites to pick from. The staff were very responsive, detail oriented and accommodating with our requests, special mention to Dearna who has been really patient and amazing and went above and beyond to help us out. They also provided us with a day coordinator who was really helpful and offered a lot of support on the day.One thing that I'd like to mention is if you're planning to stay in the accommodation on site there is no wifi in the rooms, however you can connect to the wifi in the Grand Ballroom which was a little inconvenient. Some of the furnitures in the accommodation may also need to be replaced as they were quite old and wobbly, however the accommodation itself is quite spacious and can accommodate quite a lot of people.Overall would highly highly recommend this beautiful venue!

My daughter had her wedding here and it was just fabulous. The brides & bridesmaids were able to get ready in their own separate room, with toilet facilities, on the day.I do however think they are a little understaffed and at times it was difficult to find someone to help with things, although whenever we did find any staff member they were immediately willing to help with anything we needed/wanted. Just could have been extra helpful to have more staff throughout the day during preparation prior to the actual wedding.Note: the staff do NOT touch the wedding cake at all, until it is to be cut up for serving ... so u have to bring it on the day and put it in the fridge downstairs yourself, then you have to get it out of the fridge and set it up yourself on the day at a time that is most suitable (so I set it up while the bride & groom were having photos after the ceremony, but before everyone was allowed into the room for dining, so as not to have it sitting out for too long!) But just be aware they do not do this.Some of us spent the night in their accommodation facilities, which were lovely and clean and respectable. The usual tea, coffee etc was provided also.The next morning was easy and hassle free to check out.

Got married at Tatra in October 2025. It was honestly the most beautiful day. We stayed there the day before and day after so it was relaxed to get ready morning of. My son got married a few days ago at Tatra Receptions. The wedding ceremony took place at the chapel on-site, followed by a wonderful reception at the same venue.Set in the beautiful Dandenong Ranges, the venue is surrounded by stunning natural scenery and offers countless opportunities for amazing wedding photos. The food was delicious, and the portions were very generous. We had my son's wedding at Tatra Receptions. It was just magical. The location, the venue and the gardens were just beautiful. There was a great choice of food and beverage options, including theming. Beyond our wildest dreams!From meeting Andrew and his wonderful team, we knew this was going to be a great experience—and it was.The contact before, lead up, and on the day of the wedding was great.The team were able to answer and help us with everything.The venue speaks for itself; just by looking at the stunning gardens, we had endless locations to take photos.Space for our guests to go during the cocktail and space inside for the reception.The food is next-level - if you ever need food tasters, we are there!I am a coeliac and they were able to accommodate me with delicious and filling food.Thank you for making our day one to remember. Everything was perfect! Perfect view outside with the cupola and the tall trees in the back. The staff were all super lovely and made things run a lot smoother. The rooms are perfect as well if you have a big family and need the extra space or just want the bridal parties seperate. Food was really good! Bartenders and wait staff were super sweet and aware of everything we needed. Really appreciate everything! Also perfect spot outside to put a bouncy castle (highly suggest it was a lot of fun!)The only thing I would suggest is to get another coordinator for ceremonies, as my dad was directing people for ours, we had one person helping us, and a trainee :( just more hands to help earlier on 😊

Beautiful Wedding & Reception place hidden away in the beautiful Dandenong Ranges. The Chapel is perfect for an intimate ceremony with family & close friends. There are 2 carpark areas one being closer to the Chapel which was perfect for me as I am disabled. The reception area was also beautiful, great staff.

The moment we had our initial meeting with Tatra, we felt like welcomed, with all questions answered with no trouble. Attended a Wedding here over the weekend. The yards at this venue were absolutely breathtaking.The only reason behind the 4 star review was the meals. The food was dry, tasteless and barelywarm. With the cost of weddings these days the food should also be high end. This was far from that.

Tatra Receptions is such a beautiful place and I'm so happy we had our wedding here. The preparation for our special day went by flawlessly. Tatra were very responsive and answered my multiple phone calls about every question I asked. The visits, the sampling dinner and all the pre-wedding events were wonderful.It rained on our wedding day so we were very grateful for a wet-weather option on site. Although we booked Tatra for a garden wedding, to have the back up option that still looked beautiful was a big relief for us.The food is fantastic, we had heaps of compliments on all meals and our favourite has to be the sticky date! The drinks package was great, plenty of opportunities for photos around the venue and everything ran to time.Two aspects didn't go to plan:The night before my Sunday wedding, most of the accommodation was booked by my or my husbands family as many of us had travelled >2 hours or interstate. There was another wedding on the Saturday night. They had loud music but I thought they must of paid for an extended package to perhaps midnight to keep going. However, the music kept getting louder and louder til 2am in the morning! Turns out over 50 heavily intoxicated guests partied on loudly in the car park which is immediately infront of the accommodation and had large speakers (placed right next to the window of my aunties room), open alcohol, tables set up, and they were extremely rowdy and disturbing and wouldn't move off the grounds. Some of the guests were scared due to the drunkenness of some of the guests. There was no after hours number to contact Tatra, so my own family had to argue with the crowd at 1am to leave and police were called. As a result, no one got more than 5 hours sleep. Were we compensated at all? No. The venue apologised but that wasn't good enough. Absolutely appalling and if I knew they'd allow this sort of behaviour, I would of never recommended people to stay on site and insisted on an airbnb. Accommodation should of atleast been partially refunded because no one got a restful night sleep due to the selfishness of the Saturday guests and the venue. Perhaps security on site if guests are staying overnight might be an idea? Atleast to prevent anyone else experiencing this like me and my family did.The other issue I had was the MC. We didn't know who it was as it changes from day to day. It was a young woman. Which would of been fine, but she was so quiet no one could hear the announcements! My husband had to grab the mic or just yell and repeat what she said multiple times so guests knew what was going on. When we asked her to speak louder she refused and said she couldn't?? She had a microphone yet myself and my husbands voices were louder? In addition, there was no hype, no excitement in her voice, she just spoke as if she was reading off a list. Very disappointing! If I knew this, I would of outsourced a more lively MC ourselves.These were the only two faults of the venue, so from my personal experience, I'd recommend staying off site if you value rest, and outsource a loud speaking MC with some energy and excitement if that's what you want. But for a venue with wonderful food, gorgeous gardens, options for wet weather, stunning ball room, helpful admin staff, and to take the stress out of coordinating your wedding because they run it like a well oiled machine, Tatra was fantastic. 🙂Edit: since posting this review I have been contacted by the venue. They have apologised for the shortcomings on the night saying they have spoken to the MC we had and given feedback. In regards to the night prior, they sincerely apologised and have let me know all the changes they have made to ensure this never happens again to any future couples as it was the first time it had happened in 20 years.For any future couples, your wedding never goes perfectly, this was 2 out of about 10 things that didn't go to plan on my day. But atleast when you book with Tatra, the team will go over and above to make it right and I think that's alot more care and effort than most!

We just got married at Tatra last week and could not have asked for a more amazing venue, staff or day.The gardens are absolutely breath taking along with the stunning chapel and ballroom.The staff are so friendly and kept us comfortable all afternoon and night.The food was sensational and fresh all of our guests were impressed with their meals. If I could give Tatra more stars, I would!We were married here a week ago and couldn't be happier with the incredible venue and amazing staff.I had a million questions and requests in the lead up to our day - all were answered so promptly and the team were so helpful. The day itself was absolutely flawless, timing was perfect, our guests were blown away by the food, the staff were so polite and quick...I could go on.The venue itself is stunning and so well set up for all weather conditions, a million photo locations and the accommodation is a huge bonus.A shout out to Dearna, Bridget and Shelby for being so amazing!Thank you a million times over, we couldn't be happier!

Attended wedding reception here. Was in the evening so couldn't really appreciate the grounds. The venue was lovely and service was good. We are vegetarians and were not disappointed with the menu, including dessert. The happy couple had a fabulous time.Well done

Apologies for the long awaited review, I thought I posted the review last year and realised now it never sent.My husband and I just celebrated our 1 year wedding anniversary and we couldn't be more happier with the wonderful reception we have chosen. Two years prior to my husband proposing, I did my own research and knew Tatra was where I wanted to get married, and when we finally did a tour, my husband couldn't agree more. The venue is utterly beautiful and the food was great. The staff were amazing answering all of our questions (special thanks to Dearna and Emily) and our MC was fantastic (I'm so sorry I can't remember you're name, but you were utterly spectacular!). Thank you for taking care of us, hosting our day and accommodating to our cultural traditions. Our guests still talk about how it was the most amazing and beautiful wedding they've gone too. Changing the quote from Bride Wars, all I keep thinking when I see other venues is - 'It ain't October, and it ain't Tatra!". Beautiful venue, perfect for a fairytale, enchanting wedding. Thank you again for everything!

As a Melbourne wedding photographer, I’ve had the opportunity to photograph many weddings at Tatra, and it’s always a beautiful place to work.What I especially love about Tatra is how well the reception connects with the surrounding Dandenong Ranges. Got married at Tatra on 15/9/26 and I could not be more grateful to the Tatra team for making our dreams come true !!Dearna is a legend and answered every single email and question and tiny little edit I wanted to make. She gave advice when I was unsure and was even more lovely in person. Tash was our superstar... coordinator on the day she just made everything so easy!The venue itself is so BEAUTIFUL. Plan A was to get married outside but that was my husband’s plan so when it rained all day I was very happy to get married on the chapel 😂 The chapel is just so stunning and every time I pictured getting married, it was in that chapel ❤️ Thankfully, the rain let up for our portraits and you can take a photo just about anywhere on Tatra’s grounds (the amphitheater is MAJOR 😍). And the draping in the ballroom is absolutely the cherry on top. Just gorgeous!!!When the adrenaline finally wore off and we could finally eat, Tatra’s food was SO GOOD! I think about the steak and the sticky date pudding a lot… Our guests agreed and enjoyed it too! The staff really took care of us and were so kind.I could not recommend Tatra enough if you are seeking a charming, elegant, whimsical venue for your wedding/event! We had our wedding at Tatra Receptions 2 weeks ago. The team at Tatra was amazing and the service was exceptional. Dearna was always prompt with her replies in the lead up to our wedding. The venue was absolutely stunning and we could not have imagined a more beautiful location for the day.The staff were all so... professional and approachable. The most incredible experience… from the first moment where we visited and were shown around by the owner Andrew, we knew that this was the venue for our wedding.The venue is fantastic, well laid out with indoor/outdoor options. We were lucky to get a fairytale bridal entrance down a spiral staircase into the most... amazing chapel (check out the photos with the window backdrop and the nighttime shot looking back in) and a reception area that was perfect for our guests.The food was great and in the lead up to our day we were able to visit and taste some of the options so when we made our menu selections, we were confident in the quality of both food and wine.Last but not least, the staff were the thing that actually made our event run so smoothly. Dearna and the office crew ensured we had a clear schedule for the day and that everything was managed on our behalf on the big day itself.Favorite memory was the two of us sneaking into the office after photos and before our big entrance while canapés were being served… Dearna sorted us out with a bottle of wine and 30 minutes to ourselves before the big celebration. Exactly what we needed.If we could rate them more than 5 stars we would. The value provided for such a big occasion was priceless. We recently celebrated our wedding at Tatra and it was an absolutely outstanding experience from start to finish. We held our ceremony at the Cupola, and our guests were blown away by how beautiful it was, the timing was perfect, with stunning reds and yellows coming through the leaves that added such a magical... atmosphere to the day.The food was exceptional; having attended a tasting beforehand, I sampled a number of their dishes including the chicken skewers and the lamb shank, and every single one hit the mark. The quality and flavour across the board was impressive, and our guests on the day couldn’t stop raving about it either.The team on the day were brilliant. As with any wedding, there are always little things that crop up behind the scenes, but the staff handled everything so efficiently that my bride and I were completely unaware anything had even happened. Had our wedding on February 2026, it's a very beautiful venue that offers good food, good views and good service. A lot of our guests complimented the food and the aesthetics. We had our wedding outdoor by the cupola and it was absolutely gorgeous. We were also able to get our photoshoot done there as well as there... were different sites to pick from. The staff were very responsive, detail oriented and accommodating with our requests, special mention to Dearna who has been really patient and amazing and went above and beyond to help us out. They also provided us with a day coordinator who was really helpful and offered a lot of support on the day.One thing that I'd like to mention is if you're planning to stay in the accommodation on site there is no wifi in the rooms, however you can connect to the wifi in the Grand Ballroom which was a little inconvenient. Some of the furnitures in the accommodation may also need to be replaced as they were quite old and wobbly, however the accommodation itself is quite spacious and can accommodate quite a lot of people.Overall would highly highly recommend this beautiful venue!read more

Everything was perfect! Perfect view outside with the cupola and the tall trees in the back. The staff were all super lovely and made things run a lot smoother. The rooms are perfect as well if you have a big family and need the extra space or just want the bridal parties seperate. Food was really good! Bartenders and... wait staff were super sweet and aware of everything we needed. Really appreciate everything! Also perfect spot outside to put a bouncy castle (highly suggest it was a lot of fun!)The only thing I would suggest is to get another coordinator for ceremonies, as my dad was directing people for ours, we had one person helping us, and a trainee :( just more hands to help earlier on 😊read more

Beautiful Wedding & Reception place hidden away in the beautiful Dandenong Ranges. The Chapel is perfect for an intimate ceremony with family & close friends. Tatra Receptions is such a beautiful place and I'm so happy we had our wedding here. The preparation for our special day went by flawlessly. Tatra were very responsive and answered my multiple phone calls about every question I asked. The visits, the sampling dinner and all the pre-wedding events were wonderful.It... rained on our wedding day so we were very grateful for a wet-weather option on site. Although we booked Tatra for a garden wedding, to have the back up option that still looked beautiful was a big relief for us.The food is fantastic, we had heaps of compliments on all meals and our favourite has to be the sticky date! The drinks package was great, plenty of opportunities for photos around the venue and everything ran to time.Two aspects didn't go to plan:The night before my Sunday wedding, most of the accommodation was booked by my or my husbands family as many of us had travelled >2 hours or interstate. There was another wedding on the Saturday night. They had loud music but I thought they must of paid for an extended package to perhaps midnight to keep going. However, the music kept getting louder and louder til 2am in the morning! Turns out over 50 heavily intoxicated guests partied on loudly in the car park which is immediately infront of the accommodation and had large speakers (placed right next to the window of my aunties room), open alcohol, tables set up, and they were extremely rowdy and disturbing and wouldn't move off the grounds. Some of the guests were scared due to the drunkenness of some of the guests. There was no after hours number to contact Tatra, so my own family had to argue with the crowd at 1am to leave and police were called. As a result, no one got more than 5 hours sleep. Were we compensated at all? No. The venue apologised but that wasn't good enough. Absolutely appalling and if I knew they'd allow this sort of behaviour, I would of never recommended people to stay on site and insisted on an airbnb. Accommodation should of atleast been partially refunded because no one got a restful night sleep due to the selfishness of the Saturday guests and the venue. Perhaps security on site if guests are staying overnight might be an idea? Atleast to prevent anyone else experiencing this like me and my family did.The other issue I had was the MC. We didn't know who it was as it changes from day to day. It was a young woman. Which would of been fine, but she was so quiet no one could hear the announcements! My husband had to grab the mic or just yell and repeat what she said multiple times so guests knew what was going on. When we asked her to speak louder she refused and said she couldn't?? She had a microphone yet myself and my husbands voices were louder? In addition, there was no hype, no excitement in her voice, she just spoke as if she was reading off a list. Very disappointing! If I knew this, I would of outsourced a more lively MC ourselves.These were the only two faults of the venue, so from my personal experience, I'd recommend staying off site if you value rest, and outsource a loud speaking MC with some energy and excitement if that's what you want. But for a venue with wonderful food, gorgeous gardens, options for wet weather, stunning ball room, helpful admin staff, and to take the stress out of coordinating your wedding because they run it like a well oiled machine, Tatra was fantastic. 🙂Edit: since posting this review I have been contacted by the venue. They have apologised for the shortcomings on the night saying they have spoken to the MC we had and given feedback. In regards to the night prior, they sincerely apologised and have let me know all the changes they have made to ensure this never happens again to any future couples as it was the first time it had happened in 20 years.For any future couples, your wedding never goes perfectly, this was 2 out of about 10 things that didn't go to plan on my day. But atleast when you book with Tatra, the team will go over and above to make it right and I think that's alot more care and effort than most!read more
