Wedding Ceremonies in the Dandenong Ranges at Tatra

Tatra Receptions includes three indoor and outdoor locations for your Wedding Ceremony:

  • Romantic timber Chapel;
  • Hand crafted wrought iron Cupola; and
  • Timeless Gazebo.

All of Tatra Receptions’ Wedding Ceremony locations have been designed as intimate and romantic settings for your vows.

Magnificent Forest Views

Each location is set amongst acres of cultivated private Gardens, with magnificent views of our Dandenong Ranges forest surroundings.

Tatra Receptions is set amongst the evergreen Dandenong Ranges forest and as our Gardens have been over 200 years in the making, our setting is unique and cannot be replicated by other venues.

Our Gardens offer beautiful forest greenery for our couples’ indoor and outdoor Wedding Ceremonies, year round.

  • Your choice of Wedding Ceremony location at Tatra Receptions;
  • Exclusive access to Tatra Receptions’ in-house planning team in the lead up to your wedding;
  • The Chapel set up as a backup option, in the event of inclement weather, for couples who choose an outdoor Wedding Ceremony;
  • Use of Tatra Receptions’ portable PA system for your Wedding Ceremony music;
  • Use of 120 white Americana chairs for outdoor Wedding Ceremonies; and
  • A personal Wedding Coordinator who will coordinate your arrival to your Wedding Ceremony and assist the bridal party as they make their way down the aisle.

Unique Ceremony locations

As Tatra Receptions has multiple, unique Wedding Ceremony locations, our Venue is ideal for couples who may require different spaces for various traditional ceremonies and wedding festivities; such as a Tea Ceremony, Sangeet or Mehendi.

After your Wedding Ceremony, you will be welcome to enjoy unlimited photography time in Tatra Receptions’ beautiful grounds.

Your guests will also experience Tatra Receptions’ magic and mingle in our gardens or in our cozy pre-dinner drink room, complete with a warm fireplace, stocked with sustainably sourced firewood from our grounds.

The Chapel

Tatra Receptions’ romantic timber Chapel has been purpose built, as an intimate option for an indoor Wedding Ceremony.

Tatra Receptions’ light filled Chapel has been custom designed to incorporate a ‘Cathedral’ feel and to bring our beautiful forest location in, as our couples say their vows.

The Chapel features:

  • Floor to ceiling views of the surrounding Dandenong Ranges forest;
  • High vaulted ceilings;
  • Romantic leadlight details;
  • A neutral palette of timber and soft white;
  • A fern covered deck, opening up to our magnificent gardens; and
  • Timber ceremony pews, sourced from an artisan craftsman, seating up to 180 guests.

The Chapel has been designed with careful consideration of Tatra Receptions’ Dandenong Ranges forest surrounds; and is an ideal option for those planning an indoor Wedding Ceremony or a Winter Wedding.

The Chapel is located a short stroll from Tatra Receptions’ main building and is set amongst our beautiful topiary gardens, with views of our white wrought iron bridge, which crosses a small creek that runs through the property.

Our Chapel is also available as a complimentary backup option for our couples who choose an outdoor Wedding Ceremony.

Whilst our Chapel is perfect without further decoration, many of our couples choose to add romantic candles and floral installations to bring their unique Wedding Ceremony vision to life.

Cupola

Our wrought iron Cupola has been custom designed as our magical, main outdoor Wedding Ceremony location at Tatra Receptions.

The Cupola was crafted by a local metalworker, who gave careful consideration to the design with a view to complementing our unmatched forest setting.

If you take a closer look at our Cupola you will notice that it is set on bluestone, in harmony with our location and includes incredible floral details, in a nod to the abundant flowers and greenery of the Dandenong Ranges.

Couples who marry at our Cupola are often treated to birdsong from some of the native species in the area and we take care to allow vibrant wildflowers to grow on our ample lawns.

The Cupola features:

  • Magnificent 270 degree views of the surrounding Dandenong Ranges forest;
  • Surrounding tall blue gum trees, topiary gardens and vibrant seasonal flowers, including rhododendron, hydrangea and magnolia;
  • Artisanal craftmanship, complete with romantic floral details; and
  • A bluestone aisle.

Our Cupola is situated on the main lawns in the heart of Tatra Receptions’ grounds, a short stroll past our Chapel from our main building.

Our Chapel is also available as a complimentary backup option for our couples who choose an outdoor Wedding Ceremony.

Whilst our Cupola and surrounding views offer an exceptional outdoor Wedding Ceremony location, without any need to add decorations, many of our couples choose to add a floral installation to continue their wedding theme.

Gazebo

Our timeless Gazebo is our second outdoor ceremony location at Tatra Receptions.

The Gazebo is an ideal option for couples who would like a traditional location for their ceremony, or for couples who will be hosting multiple ceremonies at Tatra.

Our gazebo features a timeless black and white colour scheme and includes magnificent views of our Gardens and abundant seasonal flowers.

  • Beautiful views of the surrounding Dandenong Ranges forest and seasonal flowers, particularly rhododendron and hydrangea;
  • Timeless black and white colour scheme, with Corinthian pillars;
  • Timber and stone construction.

Our Gazebo is situated on the main lawns, facing Tatra Receptions’ main building and garden bar, a short stroll past our Chapel from our main building.

Many of our couples choose to enhance our Gazebo with soft, romantic draping, or floral installations and it is an ideal second location for a Tea Ceremony, Mehendi or Sangeet.
